Powerful and mighty is the Ocean, yet calming and healing at the same time.
Colours pristine and pure, I feel the allure!
Inspired by a photo taken by a member of Paint the Ocean Studio.
The photo was taken at Muriwai Beach, New Zealand.
Thank you to everyone whom suggested a title for this painting, your creativity is appreciated.
I decided to go with 'Tangaroa's Comb'.
After researching the meaning of Tangaroa, which in Mauri Culture is the God of the Sea, I immediately resonated with this, as often while painting water, King Neptune comes to mind.
'Tangaroa's Comb' original oil painting will be available to be viewed in approximately two weeks at Gallery 361, Arthouse Fine Art Reproductions, 6/31 Thompson Street, Bowen Hills, Qld, Australia.
I will keep you posted!
In the meantime, take good care of yourself and if you get a chance go and spend some time with the ocean, relax and rejuvenate your soul.
All the best
